native of Columbia, Tennessee, I now live in Wilmington,
North Carolina. I have spent over thirty
years in controls engineering and automation programming,
but I am also a writer, artist, and photographer. Since
2009, I have been writing Japanese short-form poetry with a
primary interest in haiga -- a combination of image and poem
where one compliments the other. My artwork is inspired by
Japanese woodblocks and ink painting (sumi-e).
My work has appeared at
Contemporary Haibun Online, Frogpond,
Cattails, Haibun Today, Haigaonline, World
Haiku Association, and other online and print journals.
I am also the editor of the book "Life's Journey, Collected
Essays and Poems" by George W. Jones.
It is my hope that through
combining words and images you will find something for
contemplation and reflection.
My ongoing work can be found at my blog
